Alba Witkin enjoyed close relationships with the organizations funded by the Foundation. She advocated for phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and site visits as the most personal way to become a part of our community's work.
 
Alba valued personal relationships with Foundation recipients and their beneficiaries. Many of these relationships lasted several decades, until Alba’s death in 2014. The Foundation intends to keep alive this spirit of building strong relationships with our community partners.
